Meredith grew up in Wollongong and studied for her teaching degree at the University of Wollongong. She moved to regional NSW to take up a position as classroom teacher at Hermidale Public School and then taught for a number of years at Dubbo Christian School. She has taught piano and music theory for more than 10 years and enjoys using her piano skills to accompany school and community choirs.

Meredith joined the teaching staff of Macquarie Conservatorium in 2022.
