Enrolment Information

If you're interested in taking lessons at the Macquarie Conservatorium or exploring one of our other music programs, start by reviewing the Schedule of Fees for lesson pricing.

Next, please fill out the Student Information Form by clicking on the button below. This form will give us the necessary details to match you with an appropriate program and placement.
Additionally, be sure to read the 2025 Member & Student Handbook.

Once we receive your form, we will contact you with available lesson times.

2025 Term Dates

Term 1: 3 February - 11 April (10 weeks) School programs start from 12 February

Term 2: 28 April - 4 July (10 weeks)

Term 3: 21 July - 26 September (10 weeks)

Term 4: 13 October - 18 December (10 weeks)

For NEW students

  • Discover our programs section to learn about tuition and music-making options available for all ages, from youth to adults, and for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.

  • If you have specific enquiries about a tuition type, class, or activity, please contact the office for more information.

  • Once the Student Information Form has been received, we will be in contact regarding possible lesson options.

For RETURNING students

  • All existing students must re-enrol each year by the due date, completing a new online Student Information Form by the due date and paying the required fee deposit.

  • Your annual re-enrolment package with the link to our online Student Information form is emailed to you before the end of Term 4.

  • Once you have re-enrolled and paid your fee deposit, you will be sent an invoice for the remainder of your tuition fees early in the new year.

Instrument hire

Macquarie Conservatorium has some instruments available for hire to students enrolled for tuition with Macquarie Conservatorium. The cost is $150 per semester.


Help with fees

If you anticipate challenges in managing fee payments for music tuition, there are several options available to you:

  • The Conservatorium offers a limited number of bursaries to assist selected students based on financial need. Download our Bursary Guidelines and Application form and please contact the office if you have any queries about eligibility for a bursary. See page 5 of our Member & Student Handbook for additional information

  • Macquarie Conservatorium offers discounts on some tuition for families with multiple children and multiple tuition enrolments, and discounts on tuition for pensioners. Details are in our Fee Policy on page 5 of our Member & Student Handbook

  • You can apply to pay by instalments, by emailing learn@macqcon.org.au. Conditions are explained in our Fee Policy on page 5 of our Member & Student Handbook
