Group tuition

Group tuition options are offered in select instruments. Participating in group classes is an excellent way to learn an instrument; playing alongside others enhances the enjoyment of your music lessons, and it’s also more budget-friendly.

If there's interest, we can also arrange elementary and advanced group classes, so if you're a returning student or an experienced player seeking group tuition, please fill out the Student Information form.

Our schools program

Group and individual instrumental tuition is offered onsite at a number of schools in Dubbo and the surrounding region.

Find out more about our School Programs and participating schools or discuss with our office how we can provide music at your school.

Virtual tuition

Alongside in-person lessons, online tuition through Zoom or video conferencing offers music education opportunities for students in remote locations. This method also allows access to instructors for instruments, levels, or styles that may not be available in Dubbo, enabling connections with other regional conservatoriums.

Events, Masterclasses & Workshops

Instrumental and vocal students have the opportunity to perform at concerts hosted by Macquarie Conservatorium. They can also enrol in workshops, masterclasses, and special events that take place throughout the year. In collaboration with their teacher, students can prepare for AMEB and other examinations. Many students participate in school or community bands and ensembles, as well as sing in choirs.

Additionally, we offer Conservatorium ensembles and various group activities that may be of interest. Discover more about our ensembles here.
