Formed in 2017 at the Australian National Academy of Music, Golden Gate Brass is dedicated to the high-quality performance of brass quintet repertoire.
They have appeared in concerts across Australia, including at the Canberra International Music Festival and the Four Winds Festival, performing an exciting range of music in their high energy, innovative programs.
The musicians are Michael Olsen and Fletcher Cox (trumpets), Aidan Gabriels (horn), Jackson Bankovic (trombone), and Jason Catchpowle (tuba), who have all played with major Australian symphony orchestras.
In this concert, they explore the dazzling sounds of the brass quintet in music by Samuel Barber, Peter Warlock and Michael Tilson Thomas.
