If you are a primary student and want to start learning a musical instrument in 2022, then come along with your parent to our Instrument Demo Session.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at this session. People aged 16 years and older must be fully vaccinated to attend.
Our friendly teachers will show you the different instruments, explain what happens in a music lesson and how old you need to be to start learning each instrument, so you can decide which one is right for you.
There’s a big range of instruments to choose from:
Brass: trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, tuba, baritone horn
Strings: violin, viola, cello
Wind: flute, clarinet, saxophone
Guitar
Percussion for school bands
There will also be info on what you need to do NOW to enrol for music lessons in 2022.
You can choose to have lessons during school time at one of our partner schools or after school at the Conservatorium.
Go to School Programs for the list of our partner schools, what instruments are taught at each school, and how old you need to be to start learning.
Go to Enrolment Info to send us an inquiry about learning an instrument at a school or at the Conservatorium. Once we have your Inquiry, we’ll email you everything you need to enrol for instrumental music lessons in 2022.
