Matthew Davis

Guitar, School Programs

Matt has been playing the guitar for over 20 years. Throughout this time, he has also explored other instruments, including the trumpet, mandolin, octave mandolin, and banjo.

Eager to broaden his musical horizons, he has performed jazz with The Great Western Plains Big Band and an early version of The Chalkies. He has also played rock and pop with The Legless Pedestrians and Squeaky Sound Box, as well as jam-band music with the Univibes band at ANU.

In addition, Matt has been involved in numerous local musical productions since high school. He has played guitar for St. John's College performances of Grease, Footloose, and High School Musical, and has participated in DATS productions of Godspell, Evita, and Come From Away (2025). Furthermore, he has contributed to Free-Rain Theatre productions of The Removalists and Beauty and the Beast in Canberra by assisting with sound and lighting.

Matt holds a degree in Classical Studies from ANU, where he majored in Latin and minored in Ancient Greek.
