Nolan Furnell

Nolan is a founding member and the Vice Chairman of SOMAD (Songwriters and Original Musicians Association Dubbo), serving on the committee since 2017. He is also a member of the local metal band Whisperhead, which frequently tours the east coast of Australia.

With ten years of experience in early childhood education, Nolan has previously taught music at the Macquarie Correctional Centre. He has been playing in bands since the age of fifteen on various instruments, though drumming has always been his passion. Additionally, Nolan has composed music for television, advertisements, and short films, earning an award for "Seeing" (2020 - Best Song in Film, MLC Awards).

Nolan rejoined the teaching staff of Macquarie Conservatorium in 2025
