Unfortunately the final concert in our 2021 Concert Series with Arcadia Winds has been cancelled.

This is due to restrictions in Victoria where most of the musicians are based, which have prevented this ensemble from rehearsing or even meeting for the past several months.

This fabulous concert has been rescheduled for a SECOND time to Friday 3 December.

This week, Macquarie Conservatorium continues online tuition for all individual, shared and group lessons - so please do not attend the Conservatorium building for lessons this week!

Macquarie Con will be closed to the public from now until the end of the lockdown period.
Ensembles, bands and youth music theatre will not run during the lockdown.
Individual, shared and group lessons will move to online learning (Zoom).

Due to the Sydney COVID lockdown, this visiting artist concert has been rescheduled from 27 August to 22 October.

Congratulations to Macquarie Conservatorium’s Youth Chorus for a great performance in Opera Australia’s Carmen at Dubbo Regional Theatre last Saturday!

Fifteen young singers will perform this Saturday in Opera Australia’s production of Carmen, when it arrives on tour at Dubbo Regional Theatre. The Macquarie Conservatorium Youth Chorus has been practicing their parts in this opera since the start of term, including learning to sing in French!

Congratulations to all Macquarie Conservatorium students who performed in the City of Dubbo Eisteddfod! Of particular note are the winners of the Most Outstanding Performer awards: Brass – Jessica Hall, Wind – Cecilia de Sousa Shaw, and Vocal – Lorna Mitchell.

School’s in these holidays for young rock musos aged 11-18 years at Macquarie Conservatorium’s ROCK SCHOOL. Enjoy a fun week of afternoon workshops, playing in rock bands on your instrument – electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals or keyboard.

Two talented students from Macquarie Conservatorium are currently in Sydney for an exciting project with leading musicians from the Australian World Orchestra (AWO) and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO).
